Taking Back Time

’Taking Back Time is a project which was exhibited in the @atmoexhibition at the Niamos centre in Manchester. It was a collaborative exhibition between 14 photographers working on the collective theme of ‘At the moment of’, delving into themes of time and change.

Taking back Time explores the relationship between natural landscapes and the man-made structures that inhabit them. Through a photographic exploration of the land, this project considers notions of time and how natural spaces reclaim their past through a regenerative process where man made construction succumbs to the forces of nature. In addition to this, the project embeds motifs of battle via pillboxes and coastal defences, alongside fighter plane wreckage to align with the conflict between nature and the man-made.
